Ganduje Condoles Buhari over COAS And Others’ Death

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of the Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, and others.

Gatekeepers News reports that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Northern Nigeria has condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Ibrahim Attahiru, and others.

Ganduje expressed his condolences in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba on Saturday.

On Friday, Gatekeepers News reported that the Chief of Army Staff, alongside some officers and aircrew, died in a plane crash in Kaduna.

Ganduje on behalf of the government and the people of Kano also sympathises with the families of the Chief of Military Intelligence, Abdulrahman Kuliya who is an indigene of the state and one of the senior military officers that died in the air mishap.

Ganduje said: ‘’Our thought and prayers are with Mr. President, the military, and families of the deceased. We stand by you on this grave tragedy and comfort you and all who mourn the departed souls.”

While the unfortunate incident came at a time Nigeria is facing many security challenges, Ganduje hoped that the sacrifices of these nationalists would not be in vain.

The Governor spoke further,
“While I join you in taking solace in the fact that the gallant officers passed away contributing to the development of this great nation, I pray Almighty Allah in His infinite mercy to grant their souls Aljannah Firdausi the family, the military friends, and associates to bear the loss with the spirit of acquiescence to Allah’s will.”
