Covid-19: Nigeria Records 35 New Cases As Infection Hits 165,979

Confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 165,979

 

Gatekeepers News reports that the Confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 165,979 as 35 new cases and no deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, 22nd of May 2021.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 156,468 cases have been discharged and 2,067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 7 states, with Lagos having the highest with 9 new cases.

In further report from NCDC, Kano had 8, Yobe-7, Rivers-4, Akwa Ibom-3, FCT-2, Katsina-1

Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
