Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has sacked some of his commissioners and advisers.
Gatekeepers News reports that the number of commissioners affected by this Sack are four number and five are special advisers.
Their sack was conveyed in a press release signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Christian Ita.
The commissioners affected by this sack are Mike Usibe, Rita Anyim, Asu Okang, and Ntufam Donatus Etim. The Advisers that have been relieved of their appointment are Leo Inyambe, Orok Otu Duke, Victor Okon (Alausa), John Etim Bassey, and Agbiji Mbeh Agbiji.
According to the statement, “they are hereby directed to return government properties and vehicles in their care with immediate effect to the Chief of Staff to the Governor.”
Ayade, however, appreciated them for their services to the State and wished them well in their future endeavours.
Their sack may not be unconnected to the Governor’s move to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
