PDP Governors Are Determined To Rescue Nigeria – Tambuwal

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Northwest Nigeria says Governors of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are determined to rescue Nigeria.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Chairman, PDP Governors Forum, and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, says the party governors will not disappoint Nigerians who are yearning for the party to return to power in 2023.

Tambuwal stated this at a state banquet organised by the Akwa-Ibom Government for Governors of the party on Sunday.

The Chairman, PDP Governors Forum said “These star-studded leaders of PDP governors in their respective states and political generals are determined by the grace of God through your prayers, support, and cooperation, to rescue Nigeria.

“It is a task that we must accomplish to the glory of God and his glory alone.

“God on our side, we are determined as leaders, to provide that platform for the emergence of another PDP leadership in this country, come 2023.”

Tambuwal, therefore, asked Nigerians, especially religious leaders, to always pray for the country over the insecurity issues confronting the nation.

He stated, “We need prayers. God is always there for His people and will never be tired of Nigeria for His glory.”

PDP National Legal Adviser, Emmanuel Enoidem, while speaking on behalf of the party’s National Working Committee, praised the governors for making the party proud with their performances in their various states.

Enoidem said, “Today if there is any hope of democracy in Nigeria, it has come from the PDP governors because of their excellent performance in their states.”

He, therefore, advised PDP governors to uphold those efforts to stimulate development in Nigeria.

Enoidem, while stressing that the responsibilities ahead are huge, urged the PDP governors to continue working together to rise to the challenges facing Nigeria.

PDP governors who also graced the occasion were Udom Emmanuel of Akwa-lbom, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, Darius Ishaku of Taraba, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, Duoye Diri of Bayelsa, Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, and the Deputy Governor of Zamfara, Mahdi Gusau.
