House of Representatives is currently screening the new Chief of Army Staff.
Gatekeepers News reports that the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Defence and Army is currently screening, the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Farouk Yahaya.
Last Tuesday, the speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, read a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari during a plenary session, seeking the confirmation of Yahaya as COAS.
The Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson, at the screening today, said the exercise is coming at a time when the country is fighting various security challenges.
Benson, therefore, urged Yahaya to ensure he does everything possible to bring the insecurity to an end.
