Made Kuti To Hold Second Solo Show

Femi Kuti’s Son, Made Kuti is set to hold his second solo music event.

Gatekeepers News reports that the grandson of late Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti, Made is set to stage his second solo music event after his debut album.

Made and his father, Femi in a joint album merged three generations of Afrobeats in one piece they called ‘Legacy +’.

The Afrobeat musician is, however, setting up a special showcase event tagged ‘An Evening With Made Kuti.’

Organisers of the music event, in a statement, said the exclusive event is scheduled for Friday, July 2 at the fit-for-purpose Terra Culture Arena in Victoria Island, Lagos state.

Made in his second solo headline gig, will be introducing The Movement, his band, to a colourful audience comprising his growing young army of fans, music connoisseurs, brands, diplomats, among others.

On his forthcoming music event, he said, “The aim is to extend my performance beyond the New Afrika Shrine and create opportunities for new fans and brands alike to experience my art.

“This special showcase creates high-quality engagements and reaches an audience composed of young adults, business professionals, and expatriates who enjoy Afrobeat and support the Kuti legacy.”

Made who is a multi-instrumentalist (bass, saxophone, piano, drums, and trumpet), has the talent of his grandfather. He attended the prestigious Trinity College in London and has also toured the world under his father’s band.

In his debut album which is a joint album with his father, Femi, Made unraveled his sound in ‘For(e)ward’, his side of the two-part studio project.
