COVID-19: NCDC Records 2 New Cases

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 2 new COVID-19 cases.

Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 2 new COVID-19 cases in the country, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 167,467 as of Sunday, 27 June 2021.

According to NCDC, the two cases were all recorded in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Since the outbreak on 27 February 2020, a total of 2,119 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 163,949 have recovered and have been discharged.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,241,662 eligible citizens have received the first shot of their jab, while 1,155,810 Nigerians vaccinated with 1st dose have collected their 2nd dose.

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) disclosed this in its COVID-19 Vaccination Update for 27 June 2021.
