Bandits have called the management of Bethel Baptist High School to provide foodstuff to feed the students they are holding hostage.
Gatekeepers News reports that the High School which is located at Damishi, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was invaded in the early hours of Monday, July 5.
The bandits who were alleged to have kidnapped about 121 students of the private boarding college requested for food in order to feed the victims. They requested for rice, beans, oil, and other food items so as to prevent the children from starving.
They called on Monday, July 5, and later called again on Tuesday, July 6, to speak with top officials of the school.
They also allowed some students to speak to the school officials.
“By the grace of God, we had a call from the bandits and they assured us that our children are well and doing okay. In fact, we had the privilege of speaking with a few of them.
“They counted themselves in the jungle and they gave us information that they are 121. When we put the number together with what we have recovered, we discovered that the number is exactly the same with the number of students we had in the hostel.”
On ransom, he said they have not made a demand for ransom yet.
