JUST IN: Tribunal Orders Multichoice To Give One-Month Free Subscription
MultiChoice Nigeria said it has not received any notification from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) over alleged tax fraud.

Gatekeepers News had earlier reported that the FIRS chairman, Mohammad Nami directed commercial banks to recover N1.8 trillion from accounts of MultiChoice Nigeria Limited (MCN) and MultiChoice Africa (MCA).

Nami accused the group of lacking in data integrity and transparency, saying they continually deny FIRS access to their records.

Gatekeepers News MultiChoice, in a statement by its media coordinator, Bamidele Johnson on Thursday said the group is currently in talks with the agency concerning the issue

“MultiChoice Nigeria has not received any notification from FIRS. MultiChoice Nigeria respects and is comfortable that it complies with the tax laws of Nigeria,” the company said.

“We have been and are currently in discussion with FIRS regarding their concerns and believe that we will be able to resolve the matter amicably.”
