Governor of Kebbi state, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has lauded the virtues of the AGF Abubakar Malami (SAN).
Gatekeepers News reports that the Kebbi State Governor, North-west, Nigeria, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has identified with the resilience and invaluable contributions of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) to the advancement of the state and country.
Bagudu described Malami as a brilliant and patriotic son of Kebbi State and a Nigerian whose commitment and capability remain unequalled for the unity of the country.
He acknowledged and congratulated Malami and his family on being recognised as a gentleman capable of adding value to Nigeria.
Bagudu made the remark at a special dinner organised by the Association of federal workers from the state at the weekend in honour of the Minister in Abuja, FCT.
He commended the organisers for recognising the importance of excellence by honouring the Minister.
This was disclosed in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki.
Malami in the statement expressed his appreciation to the Kebbi State government for playing crucial role in facilitating his nomination as a Minister.
“Let me start by appreciating the wisdom and magnanimity of the Association of Kebbi State Indigenes in the Federal Service for recognising the importance of excellence in our national life.
“It was my appointment as Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice which eventually resulted in our modest contribution to the country and the recognition for investiture of honour we are witnessing tonight by the Association of Kebbi State Indigenes in the Federal Service (AKSIFES).”
“I once again thank the Kebbi State government and people of Kebbi State. It is on the instance of the state government that I was appointed as a Minister which paves the way for me to provide meaningful contribution to my country and my community on the basis of which Kebbi State Indigenes made the celebration possible,” Malami was quoted to have said in the statement.
