Kemi Adeosun’s ‘Dash Me’ Foundation Donates Wheelchairs To 30 Persons

Former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun’s ‘DashMe’ Foundation and Store has donated wheelchairs worth N1 million to 30 teenagers in Kano State, Northern Nigeria.

Gatekeepers News reports that the ‘Dash Me’ Foundation partnered with Wheelchairs for Nigeria to produce and distribute the tricycles to disabled young people.

With the tricycles, disabled children are now able to attend a school or learn a trade, according to Adeosun.

She further noted that N1 million has been given to Wheelchairs for Nigeria again to produce and distribute tricycles to another 30 disabled young people in Calabar, Cross River State.

“I am happy to be working with Wheelchairs for Nigeria again. Our very first impact project at the DashMe Foundation was in Kano State. We gave ₦1,000,000, which allowed 30 teenagers in Kano to become mobile. As a result of this gift, they are now able to attend school or learn a trade and are no longer destined for a life of begging.

“As recently announced, Wheelchairs for Nigeria just received another ₦1,000,000 to produce and distribute tricycles to 30 disabled young people. This time it’s in Calabar, Cross River State. We look forward to sharing their stories and pictures here very soon,” she said in a statement sighted by Gatekeepers News.

Adeosun launched the ‘Dash Me’ Foundation in June to mobilise resources for distribution to vulnerable people in society via grassroots charities.

The Foundation works closely with charitable organisations in the grassroots to ensure that funds and other materials donated via the Dash Me Store and Foundation get to actual beneficiaries.
