Tiwa Savage has announced the demise of her father.
Gatekeepers News reports that the award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage says the demise of her matter is tough on her.
The Coroba crooner took to Instagram to announce the passage of her father on Monday.
The music star, however, did not disclose the cause of his death but hinted that he had been battling an undisclosed ailment before he passed on.
She noted that although the past couple of years has been “rough” for him, he is “resting” now.
The movie star wrote alongside the picture she posted:
“Early hours of this morning you made a peaceful transition. You fought till the very end, you really fought daddy,” she wrote.
“It’s been rough for you these past couple years but you are resting now. This is tough on me, I’m so numb, so weak. Rest in perfect peace, my king. I love you, daddy. Savy t’eko, pappin K.”
Tiwa Savage is one of the prominent figures in the Nigerian music landscape.
She left Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records to join Universal Music Group (UMG) in 2019. UMG is an American music company that boasts of artistes like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga.
