Nigeria's COVID-19 Cases Rise By 590
Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases continue to increase as 590 more infections were reported on Friday.

Gatekeepers News reports that the fresh infections were recorded in 18 States according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC noted that Lagos State reported the highest infections of the day with 308 cases, followed by Akwa Ibom-54, Katsina-40 and Oyo-39.

Others are; Rivers-26, Niger-23, Gombe-19, Ogun-16, Ekiti-15, FCT-10, Nasarawa-10, Delta-9, Bayelsa-5, Plateau-5, Imo-4, Ebonyi-3, Jigawa-3 and Kano-1.

Also, 48 COVID-19 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country, while 8 persons died of complications.

Gatekeepers News reports that as of July 30, 2021, Nigeria has confirmed a total of 173,411 cases; 164,978 discharged and 2,149 deaths.
