Nigeria has recorded 407 New Covid-19 cases and no deaths as infection hits 174,315.
Gatekeepers News reports that the confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 174,315 as 407 new cases and no deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday, 1st of August 2021.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 165,005 cases have been discharged and 2,149 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.
According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 17 states, with Lagos having the highest with 160 new cases.
In further report from NCDC, Akwa Ibom had 75, Ondo-51, Abia-33, Oyo-29, Kaduna-18, Katsina-7, Gombe-6, Ogun-6, Ekiti-5, Delta-4, FCT-4, Ebonyi-3, Edo-2, Niger-2, Bayelsa-1, Nasarawa-1.
Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
