Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases rose by 747 on Wednesday, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced.
Gatekeepers News reports that Lagos State reported the highest infections of the day with 488 cases, followed by Akwa Ibom-121.
Others are; Oyo-29, Rivers-25, Ogun-15, FCT-13, Kaduna-13, Kwara-11, Ekiti-10, Osun-10, Edo-6, Abia-3, Anambra-2 and Plateau-1.
“Today’s report includes; Four States with zero cases reported: Sokoto, Nasarawa, Kano and Ondo,” NCDC noted.
On the day under review, 88 COVID-19 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country while 4 persons died of complications.
Gatekeepers News reports that as of August 4th, 2021, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases stand at 176,011;165,208 recoveries and 2,167 deaths.
