R Kelly Trial: Another Accuser Testifies

R. Kelly’s sex-trafficking trial in New York entered its fourth day on Monday with a second accuser taking the stand.

Gatekeepers News reports that the second accuser testifies that the R&B star R. Kelly sexually abused her in 2015 when she was 17 and an aspiring singer.

The woman told the jury that while he pressured her for sex as the price of an audition, he promised to help her achieve a singing career.

The witness who testified in the federal courtroom in Brooklyn was described as Jane Doe #5 in the court documents and the opening statement by prosecutors.

She noted that she met Kelly while he was on his “Black Panties” tour, and was told she could audition for him.

Now 23, she testified that she told Kelly she was 18 then noting that when she got to his hotel room he had a different plan: sex before singing.

According to her, he promised he would listen to her sing and would “take care of me for life” if she agreed to allow him to have sex with her. She stressed that she had no romantic interest in Kelly.

She said, “I just wanted to sing…I genuinely wanted his input.”

According to her, they had regular sex, with Kelly nearly always videotaping the encounters.

While testifying, she wept that she contracted herpes after sex with Kelly, adding that he hadn’t disclosed he had a sexually transmitted disease.

She said, “This man purposely gave me something he knew he had… He could have controlled the situation.”

She continued by adding that he once flew into a rage because she had texted a friend about him, noting that he grabbed a size 12 sneaker from his closet and assaulted her with it.

She said, “He hit me all over,” adding that “I was running from him and fighting back,” but she was no match for him at 4-foot-11 and 98 pounds she said.

She added that Kelly forced her to rub feces on her face and videotape it as a punishment before. She noted that he also coerced her into getting an abortion in 2017 after Kelly said he wasn’t ready to have a child with her.

According to her, when she finally revealed to him she was underage, she said the R&B star slapped her across the face but kept her in his life.

She showed the jury the notes she wrote to herself about how to stay in line with his rules when she was around him.

“Tell Daddy everything,” she had written.

The 54-year-old musician is facing multiple charges of sex trafficking and racketeering dating back decades and involving six women, some of whom were allegedly underage at the time.
