“Certified Lover Boy” Will Be Out On Friday – Drake

Drake has confirmed that his long-awaited album “Certified Lover Boy” will finally be out on Friday.

Gatekeepers News reports that Drake has confirmed that his sixth full-length album “Certified Lover Boy” will finally be out on Friday, September 3.

The Canadian rapper confirmed this in an Instagram post on Monday, August 30.

The post which includes what may be the album’s cover: little cartoons of pregnant women, was captioned, “Certified Lover Boy September 3.”

After the post, Tidal’s Chief Content Officer Elliott Wilson confirmed that the post features the official album cover.

If Drake refuses to release this album on Friday, he’ll be two-thirds of the way to tying West’s non-release battle; it first announced August 2020, with the Lil Durk tag-team “Laugh Now Cry Later,” Drake had posted in October that the album would be out in January. He later changed course, citing recovery from an unspecified surgery.

Just before releasing the SportsCenter teaser, Drake on August 21, apparently reignited a feud with Kanye West that began in 2008, using his guest verse on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal” to rap, “Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone.”

Although West responded by posting an Instagram story of an antagonistic text message, and another revealing Drake’s home address, he quickly deleted it.

The fact that Drake waited to announce his release date until West’s long-waited ‘Donda’ was out last Sunday suggests that the two at least tacitly agreed not to go head-to-head.

West has, however, claimed that his label, Universal Music Group released ‘Donda’ without his approval.

The album being the official successor to 2018’s “Scorpion,” Drake has released multiple new songs in between, including last year’s “Dark Lane Demo Tapes.”
