Covid-19: Nigeria Records 964 New Cases As Infection Hits 195,052 

Nigeria has recorded 964 New Covid-19 cases and 27 deaths as infection hits 195,052.

Gatekeepers News reports that the confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 195,052 as 964 new cases and 27 deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, 5th of September 2021.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 182,463 cases have been discharged and 2,544 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 20 states, with Lagos having the highest with 456 new cases.

In further report from NCDC,  Ondo had 180, Edo-66, Rivers-62, Niger-26, Akwa Ibom-25, Ekiti-22, Kwara-22, Oyo-22, Kaduna-17, Delta-14, Benue-12, Gombe-9, Plateau-9, FCT-8, Jigawa-5, Ogun-4, Bayelsa-2, Nasarawa-2, Bauchi-1.

Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
