Covid-19: Nigeria Records 547 New Cases As Infection Hits 198,786

Nigeria has recorded 547 New Covid-19 cases and two deaths as infection hits 198,786.

Gatekeepers News reports that the confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 198,786 as 547 new cases and two deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, 12th of September 2021.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 185,075 cases have been discharged and 2,590 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 16 states, with Lagos having the highest with 110 new cases.

In further report from NCDC, Oyo-72, Rivers-56, Anambra-50, Osun-49, Delta-48, FCT-42, Ekiti-29, Akwa Ibom-26, Abia-19, Kano-16, Edo-10, Benue-7, Ogun-6, Kaduna-5, Bayelsa-2.

Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
