Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases on Tuesday hit 200,057 with 519 new infections.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure in its daily update on Coronavirus.
According to the NCDC, the fresh cases were reported from 15 States; Lagos-120, Ondo-110, Rivers-74, Edo-63, FCT-58, Oyo-31, Kaduna-15, Bayelsa-11, Cross River-11, Delta-11, Kano-5, Ogun-4, Plateau-3, Adamawa-2 and Gombe-1.
On the day under review, 292 patients recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres in the country while 18 persons died of complications.
NCDC noted that the report includes; Four states with zero cases report: Abia, Nasarawa, Ondo, and Sokoto; 1,700 recoveries reported for Lagos State from 11th September 2021 including community discharges; and a backlog of 9 deaths reported from Lagos State.
Gatekeepers News reports that so far, 188,427 recoveries and 2,619 deaths have been recorded in Nigeria.
