University of Benin students protest has taken a new turn.
Gatekeepers News reports that the University of Benin students protest over the twenty thousand naira increment of late registration levy, has taken a turn for the better.
On Wednesday, the students stormed the Vice Chancellor’s Lodge where the Vice Chancellor Prof. Lilian Salami stays, and demanded an audience with her.
Professor Salami went with the students to the main gate, where the students tabled their demands to her.
The VC subsequently removed the twenty thousand naira increment of the late registration levy and reversed the vacation of students from the halls of residence on campus.
The students, however, demanded the removal of the current PRO Benedicta Ehanire accusing her of making provocative statements.
