Nigeria has recorded 296 New COVID-19 cases.
Gate keepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 296 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, September 27, 2021, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the country to 204,752.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report.
In the report, Rivers recorded the highest infections with 63 new cases, Lagos followed with 49 cases, FCT-47, Osun-37, Edo-29, Plateau-18, Gombe-14, Nasarawa-12, and Delta-10.
Benue, and Kano recorded 5 cases each, while Bayelsa listed 3 cases, Oyo recorded 2, and Bauchi and Ekiti recorded the least case -1.
According to NCDC, this report includes:
- 10 cases reported for Delta state for September 27th (2) and 26th (8)
- 7 deaths reported for Delta state for August 18th (1), 29th (1), 30th (1), September 6th (1), 10th (1), and 13th (1)
- 29 cases reported for Edo state for September 27th (12) and 26th (17)
- 3 deaths reported for Edo state for September 27th (2) and 26th (1).
Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 2,689 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 192,943 have recovered and have been discharged.
