Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 344 new COVID-19 cases, as total infections rose to 206,623.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure in its daily update on the Coronavirus outbreak.
NCDC said the fresh cases were reported from 19 States; FCT-79, Lagos-62, Rivers-45, Kaduna-33, Plateau-22, Edo-16, Benue-13, Kano-12, Cross River-11, Delta-11, Anambra-9, Abia-8, Jigawa-7, Bauchi-4, Ekiti-4, Kwara-4, Oyo-2, Akwa Ibom-1 and Nasarawa-1.
The Center for Disease Control added that the report includes:
▪️8 cases reported from Benue state from September 21st (1), 22nd (4), 24th (2) and 25th (1) 2021
▪️1 death reported from Benue state for October 2nd (1) 2021
▪️1 case reported from Nasarawa for October 4th 2021
▪️4 cases reported from Kwara state for October 4th 2021
▪️33 cases reported from Kaduna state for October 4th (16) & 5th (17) 2021
▪️40 discharged cases reported from Plateau state for October 4th (39) & 5th (1) 2021
▪️4 states with zero cases reported: Nasarawa, Ondo, Osun and Sokoto.
So far, 194,167 recoveries and 2,723 deaths have been recorded in Nigeria.
