President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan says the National Assembly will pass the 2022 Appropriation Bill before the end of this year, 2021.
Gatekeepers News reports that Lawan said this in his opening speech during the budget laying ceremony today, at the National Assembly.
He recalled how the 9th National Assembly promised to return Nigeria to a January-to-December budget cycle with the 2020 Appropriation Bill and made it possible. He added that the feat was repeated with the 2021 Appropriation Bill.
The Senate President lauded the President, Muhammadu Buhari, for presenting the 2022 budget in time.
The Senate President said the lawmakers would pass the money bill before the end of 2021 to allow maintenance of the new bill cycle.
