Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to hold her State congress on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Lagos State Chapter of PDP says her State congress which will hold on Saturday will elect her State officers and particularly the 14 members of the State Working Committee.

The Party’s State Publicity Secretary, Taofik Gani who made this known in a statement said the elected officers shall serve in their capacities for 4 years.

Gani wrote, “Most of them have been lobbying for votes. It should be family affairs. The offices all have more than 2 contenders. We have no doubt that in the end, the best persons for the offices will emerge and hopefully, the party will also come out stronger. The Election Committee from ABUJA will make public the eventual modalities for the process.”

The party recently held her Ward and Local Government Congresses in the state.

According to the statement, “Lagos State and 5 other states are having this staggered Congresses now as a result of different reasons which delayed the processes.”

Gani added that the completion of the States Congresses will also make set the delegates for the PDP National Convention slated for the end of October 2021.
