Fire Razes Kogi Market And Destroys Property Worth Millions

Unexpected fire outbreak has destroyed property worth millions of naira at Itobe Market of Ofu Local Government in Kogi State.

Gatekeepers News reports that the incident occurred on Saturday morning when a trader’s generating set caught fire thereby engulfing all shops within the vicinity and destroying them including all property therein.

According to an eyewitness, the means of livelihood of the numerous roadside traders were lost in the fire incidence.

The eyewitness stated that no life was lost from the occurrence.

The Onu Itobe, Alhaji Salihu Adaji, while reacting to the disaster, explained that the incident has thrown many businessmen in his domain to the labour market.

He urged people in authority to assist those affected by the blaze disaster with capital to restart their businesses.
