Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria has met the comic artist, Taiwo Osinowo popularly known as Boda Taiye Oniyakuya, who drew him days ago.
Gatekeepers News reports that Boda Taiye Oniyakuya who is known for making funny drawings of celebrities recently shared the comic drawing he made of the Governor.
“I drew his excellency, Governor of Lagos State @jidesanwoolu. I thank God for the successful work. I think his excellency will love it. I still remain the best artist in UAR,” he captioned the drawing.
The comic piece went viral and got the Governor’s attention. Sanwo-Olu responded, “so, it’s me you drew like this? I’m guessing you’ll like to present it to me, abi? Ok, come and present it to me in my office. Hmmmm…”
Gatekeepers News reports that Boda Taiye Oniyakuya presented the comic drawing to the Governor today, Tuesday, at the Lagos Youth Symposium event held at the LTV Blue Roof Agidingbi, Ikeja, the State’s capital.
During the presentation, Boda Taiye Oniyakuya revealed that he was warned not to meet the Governor because the drawing could land him in trouble.
Escorted to the event by his twin brother, he said he was reminded that the Governor’s office is not far from a maximum prison.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, however, assured him that nothing will happen to him, as he noted that the drawing will be paid for to appreciate his work.
“‘The best artist in UAR’ came to present his drawing to me.
“I honestly can’t lay claim to the person in the frame, but I lay claim to the fact that we will continue to support and encourage our talented youths in Lagos State,” said Sanwo-Olu who later shared the picture from the event on his Instagram page.
