2nd Annual Igbo Nsukka Zik Summit To Hold In Abuja

Organisers of the annual Igbo Nsukka Zik Annual Merit Award Summit say the second summit will hold in Abuja.

Gatekeepers News reports that organisers of the annual Igbo Nsukka Zik Annual Merit Award Summit say the second summit will hold in Abuja on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

The organisers who made this known via a press statement noted that the theme of the summit is tagged to be “Preserving Zik’s Legacies for National Unity.”

Igbo Nsukka Zik Annual Merit Award Summit is a programme that is annually hosted in memory of the late nationalist and first President of Nigeria, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe GCFR.

Invited guests include former President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as Special Guest of Honour, Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as Chief Guest of Honour, and Minister for Transport Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi as the keynote speaker.

Others include FCT Minister Muhammad Musa Bello who would be the Chief Host, while Governors Yahaya Bello and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Kogi and Enugu states respectively would serve as special guests.

The Summit, according to a statement signed by the Chairman of media and publicity sub-committee and Executive Director Policy House Africa, Taiwo Akerele, “provides a platform for national leaders to dialogue on proffering solutions to contemporary and evolving national challenges in the economic, social and political spheres of National life”.

Akerele also said that “the summit promises to highlight the key factors that characterize Nigeria as a country and an indivisible entity as espoused by Dr. Azikiwe”. He said also that “the summit will feature lectures, synopsia, intellectual discourses and awards among other interesting features on the lineup”.
