Senator representing Anambra North, Stella Oduah has congratulated the Governor-elect of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday declared Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), a winner of the just concluded election.
In a congratulatory message, Stella Oduah the outcome of the election shows “that the great people of Anambra State have spoken out in very clear terms whom they prefer to lead us for the next four years.”
She commended the indigenes of the State for the turnout and the way ‘they conducted themselves” despite all odds and equally hailed President Muhammadu Buhari enabling a free and free and fair election.
The statement reads: “Earlier today, I reached out to congratulate my brother, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the APGA candidate and declared winner of the just concluded Anambra State gubernatorial election
“Every election cycle will always culminate in a winner being announced and it is very clear that the great people of Anambra State have spoken out in very clear terms whom they prefer to lead us for the next four years.
“It remains my fervent prayers that God will use our Governor-elect to take our dear state to a place of envy amongst other states.
“I commend Ndi Anambra for the exemplary nature with which they conducted themselves in spite of the heightened tension in the months and weeks leading up to this pivotal election for indeed, they demonstrated in a most peaceful and orderly manner, how elections ought to be done.
“I equally want to commend President, Muhammad Buhari GCFR for not only providing a level playing field but proving the many critics who made unsavoury statements impugning his democratic credentials, wrong.
“At the end of the day, this is a victory for Ndi Anambra who trooped out to their various polling units to make this resounding choice and I call on all lovers of Anambra state to put aside partisan inclinations and work to ensure that the dreams, hopes and aspirations of our people are not in vain.
“May God bless Anambra and may our dear state succeed.”
