COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 53 New Cases

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the country recorded 53 new cases for Thursday.

Gatekeepers News reports that the pandemic which has claimed 2,933 lives across the country since its outbreak in 2020.

The NCDC disclosed this in an update on its official pages on social media.

The update has it that 53 fresh cases were recorded across 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

NCDC has it that Lagos has 19 new cases, while FCT, Plateau and Rivers has 7 each, Imo 5, Kano 4, Zamfara 2, Bayelsa 1, and Gombe 1.

11 death case was recorded added to the current record, leaving the statistics at 2,933 deaths.

The total number of discharged cases was also recorded to be 205,000.
