Pero Slams Annie Idibia With N500m Lawsuit

Pero Adeniyi, baby mama to popular Nigerian singer, Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia has slammed his wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia with a N500 million lawsuit.

Gatekeepers News reports that Pero is suing Annie for alleged defamation and libellous online publication and wants N500 million for damages.

The lawsuit was due to an Instagram post made by Annie sometime in September where she called her husband out for allegedly spending nights with Pero. The post generated heated arguments between Annie’s family and her in-law.

Pero, in reference to the Instagram post via her lawyers, wrote to Annie, demanding for a public apology and the sum of N500m for damages.

She stated that she and 2Baba have nothing but a “civil parental relationship” because they share three children together.

The claims are included in a letter signed by Pero’s lawyers, Okonjo, Odiawa, and Ebie Associates titled ‘Re: Malicious and Libelous Online Publication against Pero Adeniyi’.

The letter dated November 11, reads in part: “It is our instruction to demand that you immediately and completely retract all your allegations by the same measure with which they were published and publicly tender your unreserved apology to our client, not later than 72 hours from your receipt of this letter.”

It continued, “Additionally, our client demands compensation in the sum of N500,000,000.00 (Five Hundred Million Naira) for personal injury, reputational damage, embarrassment, shame and emotional distress suffered as a result of your malicious, libellous and defamatory publications against her, within the same period stipulated above.

“Take notice that if you do not comply with our client’s demands as stated above, we will have no other option but to bring the full weight of the law to bear upon you without further recourse to you.”
