Wife of the late Afenifere’s Spokesman, Joe Okei-Odumakin has shared rare photos with activist Tony Uranta.
Gatekeepers News reports that the President, Women Arise and Centre for Change and Wife of the Late spokesma of Yoruba Socio-political group, Afenifere, Joe Okei-Odumakin has shared rare photos with late activist, Tony Uranta.
Gatekeepers News had earlier reported that Uranta died after a long battle with an ailment.
On-Air Personality, Jimi Disu announced the death of Uranta on social media platforms on Wednesday.
Disu wrote, “Just I had thought I had had enough deaths, heard Tony Uranta has passed away! I’m speechless.”
Activist Wale Okunniyi also confirmed Uranta’s death.
Okei-Odumakin in a statement personally signed by her said Uranta’s death is unbelievable.
The statement read, “We are so sad to hear of the passing-on of our Comrade, Tony Uranta.
“It was unbelievable until we heard from Baarong. Now, we are reconciled with this huge loss.
“Our fervent plea and prayer was for full recovery, but Heavens decreed otherwise and we bow in gratitude.
“We will miss Tony Uranta’s forthrightness, fortitude and the fire which accompanied his resolve.
“May the Almighty God uphold his devoted wife, Baarong and grant his family succor.
“May Tony finally find peace. Amen.”
