Former Supreme Court Justice Tijani Babalakin Is Dead

A former Justice of Nigeria’s Supreme Court, Tijani Babalakin is dead.

Gatekeepers News reports that a retired justice of the Nigeria’s Supreme Court, Justice Tijani Bolarinwa Babalakin is dead.

He was 94 at the time of his death.

Babalakin’s death was announced in a statement made by Ishaq Kunle Sanni on behalf of the family.

The statement read in part, “Ina lillah waina ilaehi rojiun

We announce the death of a great Nigerian and pious Muslim and retired Justice of the Supreme Court Justice Tijani Bolarinwa Babalakin who died this morning in Lagos at the ripe age of 94.

“Baba was an active member of the Muslim Association Of Nigeria, Ansarudeen society and former president of the Muslim Ummah of South West MUSWEN.

“He is survived by many children and grand children including Dr Abdurauf Bolanle Babalakin (SAN) and a celebrated atchitect in lagos Tayo Babalakin (FNIA FNIQS).

“Baba would in sha Allah be buried today 4th of December in Gbongan his home town.

May Allah blot out his sins accept his acts of Ibadah and grant him Jannst Firdaous.”
