Nigeria Records 167 New COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria has recorded 167 new COVID-19 cases.

Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 167 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, December 6, 2021, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the country to 214,789.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report.

In today’s report, Lagos recorded the highest cases – 113, FCT-22, Plateau-16, and Kano-4.

Abia, Kaduna, and Rivers recorded 3 each, while Bauchi recorded 2 and Delta reported just 1 case.

According to NCDC, today’s report includes:

▪️3 confirmed cases reported for Kaduna state for 5th December 2021

▪️3 confirmed cases reported for Abia state for 5th December 2021

▪️1 confirmed case reported for Delta state for 5th December 2021

▪️10 discharged cases reported for Kaduna state for 5th December 2021

Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 2,980 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 207,478 have recovered and have been discharged.
