Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise By 1424

Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases rose by 1,424 on Wednesday, as total infections hit 220,020.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in its daily update on coronavirus.

Lagos State led the infection chart with 796 cases, followed by Delta which recorded 152, FCT-130 and Edo-129.

Others are; Oyo-82, Ondo-39, Rivers-39, Kaduna-15, Enugu-9, Anambra-8, Kwara-7, Ogun-7, Bayelsa-4, Kano-4 and Akwa Ibom-3.

NCDC, in its report, added that Wednesday’s report includes:

  • 153 cases reported for Delta state are from 13th (13), and 14th (139) December 2021
  • 0 case reported from Bauchi, Ekiti, Osun and Zamfara States.

As of December 15th, Nigeria has recorded 211,292 recoveries and 2,983 deaths
