Lagos Records Higher As Nigeria COVID-19 Cases Rise By 1051

Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 1051 new cases of COVID-19 across the country.

Gatekeepers News reports that the NCDC made this known through its daily reports for Thursday, December 16.

The pandemic has claimed 2,983 lives across the country since its outbreak in 2020.

The update has it that 1051 fresh cases were recorded across 10 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The record, according to the commission includes Lagos (599), FCT (238), Rivers (79), Oyo (51), Ondo (32), Plateau (20), Akwa Ibom (11), Ogun (7), Bayelsa (5), Kano (5), and Kwara (4).

No death case was recorded added to the current record, as the statistics remain at 2,983 deaths.

The total number of discharged cases was also recorded to be 207,661.
