Nigeria has recorded 859 new COVID-19 cases.
Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 859 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, December 27, 2021, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the country to 238,420.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report.
In today’s report, Lagos recorded the highest – 555, FCT followed with 57, Rivers-44, Plateau-43, Ondo-34, Kwara-23, Kano-18, Ogun-16, and Enugu-11.
Others include: Oyo-6, Delta-5, Bauchi-3, Bayelsa-3, while Edo recorded just 1.
According to NCDC, today’s report include 43 cases for Plateau State for 27th (17) and 23rd (26) Dec 2021.
Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 3,024 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 212,770 have recovered and have been discharged.
