‘Why Are Your Wives Running Away’ – Charly Boy Mocks Ooni of Ife

Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa who is popularly known as Charly Boy, taunted the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; (Ọjájá II), over his failed marriages.

Gatekeepers News reports that Charly Boy, in an Instagram post, queried the first-class monarchy on why his wives left him in the space of two months.

Charly Boy’s comment follows the recent fallout between the Ooni and Queen Naomi Silekunola who publicly announced that she should no longer be regarded as Queen of Ife.

“I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as queen of Ile-Ife, but as the queen of the people and mother of my adorable prince,” she said in a long post.

Reacting, Charly Boy wondered why the Ooni couldn’t keep a woman, adding that despite his handsomeness he was still divorced on Instagram.

“See this my fine bobo. How is it that, in less than 2 months, two of your wives just divorced and ran away from your kingdom? To add salt to injury, it’s on Instagram they divorced you,” the singer wrote in Pidgin English.

“All that glitters is not gold. My people, how do you all see this matter? How come wives just take off without notice? Is it good?”

The first-class monarch was previously married to Adebukola Bambata and then Zaynab Wuraola Otiti before Naomi.
