Late Tega Apochi’s husband – Rhema Akpofure has cleared the air in respect to Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo’s association to his wife’s death.
Gatekeepers News reports that Tega’s husband – Akpofure has clarified that Pastor Fatoyinbo is not associated with his wife’s death.
Akpofure has described Pastor Fatoyinbo as a good man, adding that all the pastors in his church are good.
Gatekeepers News earlier reported that Nnenna Kalu-Ude, a former member of the popular church, Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly has called out the founder of the church, Biodun Fatoyinbo in the death of her pregnant friend, Tega Apochi who was also a choir member in the church.
In reaction to this, Tega’s husband wrote:
“Hello everyone. Good Evening, my name is Rhema Akpofure, husband of the late Tega. I was shocked when I turned on my phone and got a lot of texts from different people.
“My wife was a beautiful soul, an amazing person, and her Pastors were good to her and to me. Yes, she was a member of the Gratitude and she served in COZA, Abuja.
“My wife had no plans of leaving COZA. In fact, I just relocated to Abuja to join her.
“There were other better plans, so please, I want to beg you to ignore everything you see online. The man called Biodun Fatoyinbo is a good man and every other name that was tagged there are beautiful souls.
“Whatever encounter you might have had with anybody, it’s your own cup of tea and choice, but please take the name Tega out of this. I mean, it’s too early.”
In 2019, Busola – the wife of popular musician, Timi Dakolo accused Fatoyinbo of raping her twice, before she turned 18 which triggered Nigeria’s #MeToo moment which went viral on social media.
Fatoyinbo had been enmeshed in other (sexual) scandals before this recent allegation.
As of press time, neither the church nor the founder – Fatoyinbo is yet to issue an official statement on this latest scandal, rather, comments on their respective Instagram accounts have been limited.
