Tunisia have sent Nigeria out of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Youssef Msakni gave the Carthage Eagles the first and only goal of the Sunday match to move the team to the third round of the competition.

Super Eagles earlier encountered a tough challenge in the first half of their game with Tunisia at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
In the first half, Tunisian attackers put pressure on Nigeria’s defenders and this finally yielded an unfriendly result for Nigerians in the second half.

Gatekeepers News earlier reported that twelve Tunisian players and head coach Mondher Kebaier tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the AFCON clash with Nigeria. Despite this, Tunisia proved tougher for the Super Eagles than expected.
The three-time started the 2021 campaign with a 1-0 win over record champions Egypt, followed by a 3-1 victory over Sudan, and concluded the group with a 2-0 win against Guinea Bissau.
However, their quest to become Champions for the fourth time was cut short at their sixth Tunisia meeting at the tournament.
