Security agents have arrested some armed thugs in Ekiti State.
Gatekeepers News reports that joint security forces arrested over 500 armed thugs at Ita Awure/Efon Junction in Ekiti state.
The armed gang was apprehended at about 3 am on Wednesday, January 25.
The suspects were allegedly going to Ekiti in an attempt to disrupt the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary in the state.
The suspects were in many vehicles before there were intercepted on Wednesday.
It was gathered that the suspects were believed to be members of Oyo state Park Management System (PMS).
Sources said the men were caught with various weapons.
Items recovered from the suspects included guns, machetes, charms and many other harmful objects.
