Save Baby Sumayyah Oyinkansola – Parents Cry Out

Parents of baby Sumayyah Oyinkansola Ajiboye have cried out to the general public to help save the life of their baby.

Gatekeepers News reports that parents of baby Sumayyah have urged the general public to help save the life of their daughter who has been scheduled to undergo liver surgery in India.

Baby Sumayyah was diagnosed with Type 3 Jaundice at one month old and had to undergo surgery when she was three-month-old in order not to affect her liver.

Her mother, Sherifat Akande who spoke with Gatekeepers News, explained that Summayah’s belly started protruding a week after her surgery which took place at Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria.

According to Akande, her baby was later transferred to Babcock Teaching Hospital, Ilasan for post-surgery medical attention, where a series of tests and abdominal scans were conducted on her.

She added that a test result that came out on December 5, showed that Sumayyah’s liver has to be replaced and she has to be flown out of the country for the surgery, which will cost 20 million naira.

Sumayyah is currently 8 months old, and her liver condition keeps worsening daily. Her parents are, therefore, pleading with benevolent Nigerians to help save the life of their baby who beholds a promising future.
