Lady Loses Lips And Nose In A Dog Attack

A lady has lost her lips and nose in a dog attack.

Gatekeepers News reports that a college student, Jacqueline Durand has been ‘permanently and catastrophically disfigured’ after losing ‘most of her face below her eyes’ in a dog attack.

According to a lawsuit, Durand was mauled by two dogs while dog-sitting for a Dallas doctor and his wife.

The 22-year-old student at the University of Texas at Dallas went to the home of Dr. Justin and Ashley Bishop on December 23

Having been hired by Dr. Justin and Ashley Bishop to dog sit while they were away, the 22-year-old student went to their home on December 23.

The couple had assured her that the dogs would already be in their crates and kennels when she get to their home, but on the day Durand visited, the animals were allegedly left to roam around the house freely.

Durand’s lawyers stated that as soon as she opened the door to their home, the dogs pounced and she was viciously mauled by a German Shepherd mixed-breed – Lucy, and a pit bull mix, Bender.

According to the lawsuit, the dogs then proceeded to maul her ‘catastrophically,’ tearing off and eating both of her ears, her nose, her lips, and most of her face below her eyes.

The attack happened a day before her 22nd birthday and just a few days after she had already been to meet both dogs at their home with their owner, to specifically get to know them and their routines.

Durand is seeking a jury trial and compensation of more than $1 million.

The owner assured Jacqueline that the dogs would be crated,’ Durand’s attorney Chip Brooker said in a statement.
