Missing mother and daughter have been found alive six years after.
Gatekeepers News reports that the North Carolina mother, Amber Renaye Weber, and her child, Miracle Smith were found safe on a property owned by the child’s paternal grandfather.
However, federal officials and the woman’s father say they still do not know what happened to them since 2016 when they went missing.
The 26-year-old, and her now 5-year-old daughter, Miracle Smith, were found this week living in Harnett County, just 25 miles from the location of their disappearance, along with the woman’s younger child, whom she welcomed sometime in the last five years.
According to reports, the mother and children were found in good condition and located on a property belonging to the family of the father of Weber’s children.
The official said the children’s dad, (who wasn’t identified) has not been arrested.
Meanwhile, Miracle’s grandfather, Joe Smith was arrested on a federal weapons charge, but so far he has not been accused of any offense in connection with Weber’s disappearance.
According to Fayetteville police, Miracle Smith was 1 year old when she and her mother, then aged 21, disappeared on December 4, 2016.
Weber had been living with her sister at a home in the 1200 block of Martindale Drive in Fayetteville at the time.
