Covid-19: Nigeria Records 36 New Cases As Infection Hits 253,727 

Nigeria has recorded 36 New Covid-19 cases and zero deaths as infection hits 253,727.

Gatekeepers News reports that the confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 253,727 as 36 new cases and zero deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday, 6th of January 2022.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 230,045 cases have been discharged and 3,139 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 5 States, with Lagos State, South West Nigeria having the highest with 23 new cases.

Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
