Former Governor of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu says his recent 10 days journey to the United Kingdom was not for medical reasons.
Gatekeepers News reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader who returned to Nigeria on Sunday night, through his social media accounts on Monday morning, informed the public that the trip was about the 2023 election.
According to the presidential aspirant, there was a need for “consultations with Nigerians and other stakeholders in the diaspora”.
The information further read: “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu promised to continue consultations in line with his intention to seek the office of The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Recall the politician was in London for nearly three months on health grounds.
President Muhammadu Buhari and several others visited him.
According to his media office, Tinubu underwent surgery on his right knee and “rigorous post-surgery physiotherapy.”
