Covid-19: Nigeria Records 8 New Cases As Infection Hits 253,978

Nigeria has recorded 8 New Covid-19 cases and one deaths as infection hits 253,978.

Gatekeepers News reports that the confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 253,978 as 8 new cases and one deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday, 13th of January 2022.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 230,323 cases have been discharged and 3,141 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 3 States, with Federal Capital Territory of the country, Abuja, having the highest with 4 new cases.

In further report from NCDC, Rivers State had 3 while Kaduna had a lone case.

Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
