Free And Compulsory Education A Necessity In Nigeria – House of Representatives Aspirant

An Aspirant from Borno State vying for the House Of Representatives Seat to represent the people of Dikwa , Mafa, Konduga Federal Constituency ,Alhaji Umar Lawan Dalorima under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated they there’s no reason why education can not be made free and compulsory in Nigeria.  

Gatekeepers News reports that Dalorima also want Federal and state governments to prioritize the provision of portable water and heath care delivery services to grassroot dwellers across the country.

The young politician who is a geologist by training had spent more time in the banking sector where he had over the years prioritise the payment of tuition fees and give support to students within and outside his constituency want a  new deal for his constituent if he gets elected to House of Representatives ahead of the 2023 elections.

He revealed that he’s set to work alongside his colleagues at National Assembly if elected to bring about laws that will not only make education free but compulsory at all levels.

Dalorima said Nigeria has the resources to ensure free and compulsory education nothing that ” if all loop holes are blocked to halt corruption and wasteges , there will be enough funding for the educational sector. ”

Dalorima who hails from Dalori in Koduga local government area of Borno State revealed that quality education , provision of primary health care and provision of potable water for human and animal consumption are some of the major concerns bedeveling his constituents .

“My major concern is to see how best I can liberate my people and Nigerians at large by collaborating with other Federal legislators to make good laws if and when I’m elected into the House of Representatives.

“My constituents at the moment are lagging behind in terms of access to quality education, I believe that my inputs as a lawmaker if elected will in no small measure bring about a gradual but steady move to ensure free and compulsory education for my people.

“Same efforts will also be channeled towards the provision of water and that of primary healthcare services at the rural areas . ”  Dolorima said .

He commended the Governor Babagana Zulum led -administration for the consistent huge budgetary allocation to the education sector which according to him is ” ensuring Increase enrolment of students in schools, improve educational ifrastuctures and facilities to Children and young people in Borno State. ”

On his ambition to run for the seat of Federal House of Representatives, Dalorima stated that the move was initiated by members of his constituency who are convinced his input will bring about the desired change.

He revealed that he has since begun  consultation and he’s currently getting the endorsement of stakeholders within his constituency, particularly from Konduga his home local government which is yet to produce an elected House of Representatives member  since the return of democracy in 1999.

” My constituents, expecilly from Konduga have unanimously agreed that I should run for the seat of of House of Representatives.  It’s on record the out of the three Local Government Areas in my constituency, Konduga is the only Council Area  that is yet to produce an elected member of the House of Representatives since 1999.

” I believe my chances and that of party the APC of being elected as a member of the House of Representatives  are bright .”  Dalorima said .
