The building housing the headquarters of the Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja, has not been engulfed in fire has earlier reported
Gatekeepers News had earlier reported that the building located in the Central Area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday.
The ministry said that a battery park that was outside the building exploded in the early hours of today at about 6.am, but it was immediately handled by the security on ground at the office complex.
Special Adviser, Media & Communications to the Hon Minister, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Yunusa Tanko Abdullahi in a statement said, “The situation was not a fire incident as being reported. Rather there was an incident on the corridor on the basement involving an isolated battery Pack and it was quickly put out by the security personnel on duty.”
