Bye Election: APC Wins Reps Seat In Cross River As PDP Wins Jos

The candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency bye-election, Jude Ngaji, has been declared winner of the election conducted on Saturday.

Gatekeepers News reports that Ngaji was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Ngaji got 22,778 votes while the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, PDP, Mike Usibe, got 20,590 votes.

The Returning Officer, John Eno, while declaring Ngaji as winner said the APC candidate had more votes than Usibe and was the elected representative of the Federal Constituency.

The Ogoja/Yala Federal seat became vacant after Agom Jarigbe, who was in the House of Representatives, was elected into the Senate last year.

Also, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Musa Agah has been declared winner of the Jos North/Bassa Federal constituency by-election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.

The returning officer Dr Oyeyinka Oyerinda announced Agah scored 40, 343 to beat the PRP candidate Hon. Muhammad Gwani who scored 37, 757 votes.

Hon. Abbey Aku of the ruling All Progresives Congress (APC) polled 26,111 votes.
